Polly Powell has over 30 years of experience as a regulatory lawyer in the area of securities law and has also worked in corporate law. After graduating from the University of Denver Law School, she worked for securities regulatory agencies in Wyoming and Illinois for several years, then moved to Texas and worked for many years in the Austin office of a large international Houston law firm. She handled both public and private securities filings in all 50 states and the SEC and also prepared corporate formation and financing documents during the Austin technology start-up explosion in the 90s.
Polly recently began practicing with Farmer, Farmer & Brown Law Firm, P.L.L.C, an immigration law firm, in its temporary visa for agricultural workers program. Having grown up on a grain farm in Illinois, which is still in the family, Polly is thrilled to be helping the agriculture industry obtain the help it needs, as well as helping people who desperately want and need jobs, through the H-2A visa program. She feels lucky to have her legal career culminate in such satisfying and meaningful work.
